I paint with clay and glaze.
And also sometimes with high-vis stuff used by tradies.
I don't know why people don't do it all the time.
So much that is everyday is wonderful. So many crafts and skills are full of potential but tied to a particular tradition, function or standard.
It kills me to see so many wonderful surface effects, colours reflective qualities left as "functional" surfaces when they could be painted with. And tehn we celebrate abstract combinations of synthetic paints as if that is the extent of the high-chroma world.
So, I do it, because I believe someone should have already.
